@Mark the concrete for Riverside Hospital failed the slump test again. BetonMix NV blames the admixture. Can you check spec CCTP-114?

M

Checked. The spec allows 15% fly ash, they used 22%. I'm rejecting the batch and asking for a replacement at their cost (€18,400).

Questions

Who buys the data?

AI labs and enterprise AI teams that train and test models. You approve every buyer by name before anything is licensed, and you can block competitors, sector software vendors or whole regions.

When do I get paid?

Within 7 days of a buyer licensing your dataset, by bank transfer from us. Your data stays under your control until a buyer purchases; buyers only see de-identified samples before that.

Does it cost me anything?

No. You never pay anything — no sign-up, setup or exit fees. If your data doesn't sell, it costs you nothing.

How is the payout calculated?

Type of data, team size, years of history (we value the most recent 15) and industry. The range is your expected payout; the final amount depends on volume, quality and what buyers pay.

Do I give up ownership of my data?

No. Buyers get a non-exclusive license to a de-identified copy, for training and evaluating AI models. Your originals never move and stay yours.

What about client work, NDAs and trade secrets?

Bids, specs, briefs and campaigns qualify once de-sensitized: client, brand, product and project names, prices and contract values are removed. You choose exactly what's in — down to the channel or folder. If a specific contract forbids sharing, leave it out. Work from the last 12 months is embargoed by default.

Will customer or employee data be exposed?

No. Personal data is removed before anything is licensed, DMs and private channels are excluded, and data you process on behalf of your customers stays out.

We're accountants, lawyers or in healthcare. Can we take part?

Yes. Client files are excluded, because anonymization doesn't lift professional secrecy. You can export your templates and procedures yourself — we never need access to your mailboxes or practice software.

Is our source code sold?

Only if you choose. Per repository you pick discussion only (commits, reviews, issues) or code too. Secrets are scanned out, and buyers may not reproduce your code.

How long do buyers keep my data?

A license lasts at most 3 years; then buyers delete their copies and certify it. Models already trained keep what they learned — that's why you approve the scope and a sample first.

Is this legal under GDPR and the AI Act?

Yes. Your lawful basis is legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)) with a compatibility check (art. 6(4)) — we give you the filled-in template. We act as your processor while de-identifying; the result is anonymized data (mapping keys destroyed, every dataset re-identification tested, company details only shown in pools of at least 10 companies). Buyers get the provenance documentation the AI Act requires.

Will my company be named?

No. Buyers see a sector and a size band, never your name, and we never mention you in our marketing without your written consent.

What do I tell clients who ask?

That no client files or client data are shared — only your own internal know-how, de-identified, under a signed contract. We give you a short statement you can send as is.

What do I tell my staff or works council?

We give you a ready briefing in your language and can present it ourselves. Belgium: we cover CBA no. 81 on electronic communications and inform your CPPT or works council if you have one. Netherlands: your OR has a consent right for chat and email data; we prepare the request. France: we prepare the CSE information-consultation. Smaller team? You get a short information note for your staff.

How much work is it for my team?

About an hour: a 20-minute call and a few clicks to grant read-only access, or an export you upload yourself. We do the rest.

Is there a lock-in?

No exclusivity, no fees, no minimum term. You can withdraw any source until review is complete.

Prefer to talk first?

Call or email us. No estimate needed.
